The night before the wedding, Cassie and Paul hosted a dinner at their beautiful house in Vancouver, Wa. Paul cooked up some fabulous brisket that I enjoyed in his freshly made-over backyard. Once we finished eating, the family craziness came out.

I didn't know that Melinda licked Trent's ear and was wondering what she was talking about on Facebook...that's just gross! She obviously wasn't around any of the times mom was cleaning Trent's ears out. Eww....
I had so much fun on this trip. It was so great to spend so much time with the entire family - It brought back memories of when we all used to live together. Mom said our whacky night at Cassie and Paul's reminded her of Sunday dinner at the table. We'd all start off with manners and end the dinner with a big bang. I can still hear Jared Porter's laugh coming from our kitchen table.
When our huge group was being taken to our table in IHop, a couple of guys walked past and said, "Look at this big group! Looks like eating with you would be more fun." I told them they should come sit with us - that it would be like when we were young and there were always a couple of extra bodies at the dinner table! They laughed.
