First Day of School!

Harrison and Olivia were off to school this morning! Harrison says his second grade teacher Mrs. Taylor is nice and reads a book a day to them. Olivia likes her fifth grade teacher Mrs. Hebertson and made a new friend named Bella. Maddie also had Mrs. Hebertson so we know she is nice and very organized.

Happy Birthday Ed!

Ed is 39 years old today! He went golfing with his brother this morning and we had his family over for dinner tonight. It wasn't the most exciting birthday but he did get his new iPhone last week so he did get a good gift! Olivia and Harrison both made special cards for him and we also gave him some running shorts and a bag filled with supplies to make flavored iced coffees. Happy birthday Ed!

July Birthday Party

We celebrated the July birthdays at our house tonight. Happy birthday today Natalie! Dave Jenkins made a cheesecake with blackberries that looked divine. I got a Pina Colada cake from Kneaders and we had a good spread for the pot-luck dinner. Debbie received a hilarious card from Cassie that had everyone old enough to read it laughing. I didn't let the Grandmothers see it because I didn't want one of them having a heart attack in my house. It was a fun evening with lots of kids having a good time.

Police Concert!!

Awesome! We saw Elvis Costello and The Police at Usana last night. We've seen Sting in concert 4 or 5 times but it was a whole new experience to see The Police perform together. We had a great night.

More Idol Photos

American Idol Concert!!!!!

It was girls night out last night for the American Idol Concert at the E-Center. The girls were so excited. They made t-shirts and posters the night before. Our seats were good enough to get some decent photos and close enough to the stage for the glow in the dark poster paint to be seen! Maddie was thrilled when David Cook looked right at her poster and reacted. We sat next to a very nice lady who shared her binoculars with the girls when Jason and David C. performed so they could see their favorites up close. It was a very fun, very loud night!

Our Little Acrobat

Olivia has always been amazingly agile. She had a good time showing off her moves on the bungee trampoline.

My Funny Guy

Harrison is the funniest little guy to spend time with and talk to. He asks a million questions (98% of them are unanswerable), chatters non-stop, notices everything - I just love him to pieces! He is generally happy and goes with the flow. When he'd had enough time in the pool, he'd come take my iPod and chill to the sounds of Jack Johnson. His favorite album is "In Between Dreams" (the one with the tree as Harrison describes it!). Love him!

I Have the Sweetest Kids!

As a mother, it's so much fun to see my kids enjoy their time together. I had so much fun watching them interact at the pool today. Keep in mind, they have been together 24/7 all week so it would not be unexpected for them to be getting tired of each other by now. Instead, they were laughing and playing and loving each other in the way that other parents always comment on! It was so sweet to watch.

Vacation Fun

I can't believe our vacation is almost over! We have had a great week. We spent Tuesday doing all of the new activities that Snowbird offers. The kids love the Alpine Slide and the bungee trampoline. We all took the tram ride to the top of the mountain and the girls rode the mechanical bull. I rode the zip line along with Ed and Maddie which was incredible - just way to short! We survived the long lines, the scorching sun, and the expensive prices . . . it was a fun vacation day!

Hike

Anyone who knows Ed knows how much he loves to be outdoors. I had to drive down to the valley for work on Wednesday so Ed took the kids on a hike. They took lunch and hiked the mountainside.
