After a very long, stressful and tiring week at work, I was so happy to know I had survived to Friday night! Ed was working so I was in for an evening alone with the kids. Maddie called me at work in the late afternoon to ask if we could go see my parents, Denice and Eisley when I got home. Turned out, Megan was going to be there with her two little ones as well. I got the kids from our house, stopped at the grocery store for a loaf of bread and drove to the house I grew up in for an evening of baby loves and grilled sandwiches. Mom kept apologizing for not serving up anything fancy but there are times when there is nothing better than the simplicity of making a toddler laugh, snuggling with a sweet baby girl and eating a grilled cheese sandwich in what was my home for the first 20 years of my life. It was the perfect way to wind down. I love seeing my kids with their little cousins. Asher would get upset whenever he couldn't see "his Livi" and Eisley was so happy to have them there to play with her. Asher wanted a juice box when he saw my kids with theirs but he didn't know how to use a straw. He was so excited when he figured it out. He would squeal and cheer after each swallow!
I had to break out the camera when Grandma was holding the two babies and all of the kids were being sweet to each other, despite the late hour and being up past bedtime.
